So from previous feedback, I’ve seen that most people prefer leaving things with honorifics alone, including familial terms. e.g. Onii-sama, Oba-chan, etc
Since I’ve been translating Otou-sama as Father and Okaa-sama as Mother in regards to when Reiko speaks, I ask if I should continue doing so cause people might be used to it, or change how I translate it to comply with leaving things with honorifics alone.
Offtopic: Just ordered a OnePlus 2, hoping it’s good enough for what I need it for… (playing CGSS and watching anime).

i don’t mind if you stick with the translation. keep using the original romaji along with keigo make your works longer while it’s unnecessary.

Personally, I think translating these terms would be a waste. -sama suffix is keigo, which is the way one speaks with a respected person. It has no counterpart in English, therefore, translating otou-sama as merely ‘father’ takes the context out of the original.
Take Sister Princess for example. For the simple word ‘brother’, each of the sisters have their own way of calling it, such as onii-sama, nii-san, onii-chan, nii-tama, aniue, aniki and ani. Each of these portrays the seperate characteristics of each sisters. Translating that into simple ‘brother’ or ‘bro’ makes the translation bland.
Of course, that’s just my opinion. Those in the complete translation camp will definitely disagree.

Actually I feel like Father can be considered the counterpart of Otou-sama. For Otou-san, it’d be Dad. Tou-san, would be Pops. Well at least that’s how I would do it. I’ve been leaving honorifics out for Brother and Sister because as you’ve stated, there are many ways of calling them and not enough counterparts to match them with . For Father and Mother, there’s really not many different ways of being called so I feel like there’s enough counterparts to warrant a translation without taking out context/detail.

Well to get a 64GB Nexus 6P, it’d cost me $999 AUD while I got my 64GB OnePlus 2 for $602 AUD. The benefits of the Nexus 6P compared to the OnePlus 2 just don’t have me saying it’s worth the nearly extra $400 AUD .

I actually bought mine from a third party Australian site because OnePlus doesn’t ship to Australia and I don’t want to go through the trouble of forwarding and getting a US adapter rather than a AU adapter. AKA I didn’t get an invite. Although I did sign up for an invite, so if I do get one, I could let you know but that’s kinda hard since you’re an Anonymous and invites expire in 24 hours XD
